Historic Colour Collection
The Historic Colour Collection results from a partnership of Color Guild International (of which General Paints is a member) and the Society for the Preservation of New England Antiquities (SPNEA), a museum of cultural history that preserves, interprets, and collects buildings, landscapes and objects reflecting New England life from the 17th Century to the present.
The collection recreates colours from the early earth pigments to the more brilliant colours that became available in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. Owners of old houses and those with new homes will find the Historic Colour Collection equally adaptable for creating surroundings with historical character.
